Minutes of the Board of Commissioners’ Meeting
June 9, 2022

I. The monthly meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Chair Melvin Philpot.

II. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance
Vice-Chair Dan Ping led the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – May 12, 2022

A motion was made by Commissioner Victoria Murphy, seconded by Vice-Chair Dan Ping, and carried, that the board approve the May 12, 2022, minutes of the Board of Commissioners’ meeting. The Commissioners voted as follows:

VI. FINANCIAL REPORT
Financial report was given by Michael Simmons, CFO for the Orlando, and Sanford Housing Authorities. Commissioner Brian Dodd asked about the budget meeting and it was explained that it will take place at a later date.

Chair Melvin Philpot tabled Proposed Resolutions – 2022-4, 2022-5, 2022-6 and 2022-7.

The Management Report was given and thoroughly discussed by Ayub Fleming.

A motion made by Vice-Chair Dan Ping, and seconded by Commissioner Victoria Murphy, and carried that the board approve to authorize Ms. Vivian Bryant, Esq. to hold the Moving to Work (MTW) Public Hearing Meeting July 7, 2022. The Commissioner voted as follows:
