OHA cannot predict when the waiting lists will reopen because it depends upon when current clients leave the programs.
Introduction: The Orlando Housing Authority has launched a new online portal, MyHousing, to enhance the management of waiting list applications. The new MyHousing portal replaces our old Applicant Portal.
ALL users must register for a new account. Your old Applicant Portal account will not work for the new MyHousing portal site.
Account Registration Requirement: Only individuals currently on the Orlando Housing Authority Waitlist can register for an account on MyHousing. Inactive applications cannot register.
Information Needed for Registration: Applicants need to provide the Head of Household's name, birth date, Social Security Number, and a valid email address to create an account.
Registration Steps:
- Access the MyHousing Portal.
- Click on the "Register" button.
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and SSN or Alternate ID number.
- Click "Continue".
- If you have an active application, your user ID will appear on the screen. Write down your user ID for your records.
- Provide your email address.
- Create a password (at least 12 characters) and confirm it.
- Choose your preferred language from the drop-down list.
- Click "Continue".
Troubleshooting Common Issues:
- Unable to Register: Ensure you are currently on the Orlando Housing Authority Waitlist.
- Forgot User ID: Contact the Housing Authority at 407-894-1500 or email partnerportal@orl-oha.org
- Password Issues: Make sure your password is at least 12 characters long.
- Technical Difficulties: Contact the Housing Authority for assistance.

Q: How can I check the status of my application?
A: To check the status of your pre-application, you will use OHA's MyHousing Portal.
To create a MyHousing Portal account:
- Click here to access the MyHousing Portal.
- Click on the "Register" button.

- Click "Continue".

After successfully creating an account, you can log in and check the status or maintain your application information.
Application Statuses are:
- Active: This means your pre-application is Active
- Inactive: This means your pre-application is Withdrawn
Q. How do I reset my portal password?
A. On the MyHousing Login Page:
- Click on "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your email address. (This should be the same email address you used to register your MyHousing account).
- Click on Email Link
If you have an active account, then you will receive a password email.
Q. Who do I contact if I have questions about my application?
A. After you check your application in the Applicant Portal and you have additional questions regarding your pre-application, please email Orlando Housing Authority.
Q. When will I get selected for housing?
A. Waiting time differs for each applicant and is based on qualifying local preferences and bedroom size. Wait time cannot be determined. You will receive a notice via email once your name approaches the top of the waiting list.
