NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING

FOR THE SANFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY (SHA) FIVE-YEAR PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITY (PHA) PLAN FOR FY 2025-2030 AND THE MOVING TO WORK (MTW) SUPPLEMENT FOR THE TWELVE MONTHS BEGINNING JULY 1, 2025

In accordance with the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 (QHWRA), published by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Sanford Housing Authority (SHA) is providing a Notice of a Public Comment Period and Public Hearing for the SHA Five-Year PHA Plan for the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2030, and the FY 2026 Moving to Work (MTW) Supplement for the twelve-month period beginning July 1, 2025.

The Sanford Housing Authority public comment period for the SHA Five-Year PHA Plan (FY 2025-2030) and the FY 2026 Moving to Work (MTW) Supplement will begin on Friday, February 14, 2025, and conclude with a public hearing on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Sanford Police Headquarters, 815 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32771. The Sanford Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners will receive verbal and/or written comments on the goals and objectives until the closing of the Public Hearing.

The draft Five-Year PHA Plan and the Moving to Work (MTW) Supplement will be available for review, commencing Friday, February 14, 2025, on the Orlando Housing Authority website on the Sandford Housing Authority subpage and at the locations listed below Monday through Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-noon.
