NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND SUBSEQUENT PUBLIC HEARING

Housing Authority of the City of Sanford, Florida (SHA)
MTW Supplement, the Annual Plan, and the PHA Five-Year Plan (2020-2025) Goals and Objectives Comment Period
(March 11, 2024 through April 11, 2024)

The Housing Authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "Sanford Housing Authority" or "SHA," is providing Notice of a Public Comment Period and Public Hearing on its MTW Supplement, the Annual Plan, and the Public Housing Authority (PHA) Five-Year Plan for FY 2020-2025. The Sanford Housing Authority submitted its PHA Five-Year Plan for FY2020-2025 to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in May 2020. The Five-Year Plan addresses the SHA's long-term mission, goals, objectives, and policies of the agency and invites public comment. The SHA has not made any changes to the PHA Five-Year Plan for FY 2020-2025.

The public comment period on the SHA's MTW Supplement, the Annual Plan, and the Five-Year Plan goals and objectives will begin on Monday, March 11, 2024, and conclude on Thursday, April 11, 2024. SHA will hold a public hearing via video conference Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The SHA's Board of Commissioners will receive verbal and/or written comments on the MTW Supplement, the Annual Plan, and the PHA Five-Year Plan goals and objectives.

A copy of the Annual Plan will be available for review commencing Monday, March 11, 2024, on the OHA website.

For anyone who wishes to provide public comment, please fill out the Public Appearance form before the board meeting by following the steps below:

1. Click here to go to the Public Appearance Form
2. Fill-out the form and hit "SUBMIT" when finished.
3. Participate in the public hearing via video conference on April 11, 2024. OHA will send you an Email invite to join the conference. Please make sure you provide OHA with your correct email address.
4. The Board Chair will announce your name when it is your turn to speak. There is a three (3) minute limit for public comment.

Public participation in the process is encouraged. Attendance at the public hearing is not mandatory. All oral and/or written comments submitted by the close of the comment period will be considered. No comments will be considered after the close of the comment period.
